Become a Writing Consultant

Below are the requirements to be considered as a writing consultant:

  • Completed English 101 or equivalent with an A
  • Established a 3.25 cumulative GPA
  • Enrolled as a full-time student
    • Enroll in USC 210, Introduction to College Tutoring, the first semester of employment (undergraduate tutors only)
    • Commit to at least 4 hours a week
    • Attend and participate in regular staff meetings
    • Be able to tutor 2 subsequent semesters

We are no longer recruiting new consultants. If you are interested in becoming a consultant in a future semester, please provide us with the information below and you will be contacted when we begin recruiting again. We typically begin recruiting for the upcoming semester right after fall and spring break.
